FAQ
What size skip should I choose?
Please visit our dedicated page on skip sizes to help you decide which is the most suitable for your needs.
Can I dispose of asbestos with Raybells?
Yes, we are approved asbestos carriers and are able to safely manage and dispose of your asbestos waste, however, please make it clear to us at the time of booking that you will be getting rid of asbestos so that we know that we are dealing with hazardous materials.
Asbestos cannot be disposed of without prior approval and paperwork from Raybells. All asbestos disposal must be licensed and must not be included with any general waste, only into an asbestos specific skip.
What can’t be added to a skip?
We cannot accept tyres, lithium batteries, refrigerators, freezers, gas bottles or canisters, fire extinguishers, asbestos, rubber and matting, carpets or underlay, plasterboard, paints, oils, lubricants, needles, food waste, animal waste or japanese knotweed. Also we cannot accept anything with upholstery, e.g. sofas, sofa beds, arm chairs, kitchen & dining room chairs, stools, foot stools, home office chairs, futon, beans bags, floor & sofa cushions, any leather or synthetic leather, fabric or foam coverings and padding. If any of these are found in your skip they will be returned to your address on your driveway or house at a cost to cover the haulage. These are all banned from landfill sites. If you do need to dispose of any then we suggest contacting your local council or the environment agency for guidance. No asbestos or cement-based roofing as this will be treated as asbestos and charged accordingly.
How do I pay?
We will take Debit Cards, Credit Cards and cash. We don't accept cheques or American Express

What about a road permits for skips?
In order to ensure that all laws are complied with, Raybells will manage and organise everything. We will do all of the paperwork for getting a road permit for the skip so that you know that you're covered – be sure to tell us that it will be placed on a public highway when making the booking and we'll do the rest. Unless you renew the permit before it expires the skip will be collected automatically at the end of the permit period.
